Amazing coding happening in Year 4! Roxy - a wonderful Aunty to one of our students, has volunteered to teach the class and in a short time, they have created narratives that are coded!

Year 5 are engaging in robust debates on the topics - Primary school students should have to watch 30 mins of televised news per day and Disney films provide bad role models for children. The students are informed, articulate and passionate about debating their stance on their topics.

Schools across the Parramatta Local Government Area (LGA) transformed into scenes straight from a fairytale, as students donned their most imaginative costumes for Book Week.

Congratulations to Nuella and Sally who competed in the Diocesan Athletics Carnival today. Nuella placed 5th in the 100m Sally placed 6th in the 100m Nuella came 3rd in the 200m. She qualifies for the Parramatta Diocesan Team at the MacKillop trials. Well done girls!

A Massive CONGRATULATIONS to Mugil and Myra who competed in the Cluster Final of the Voice of Youth Competition this morning. Mugil placed first and Myra received the prestigious Social Justice Award. We are so proud of both students who competed against students from 3 other schools, both speaking with passion, poise and enthusiasm. Mugil will represent St Oliver's at the Semi Finals in September and we wish him all the best!

Where's Wally? He's at St Oliver's! Hidden all over the school and at Rosella Park the children searched for pictures of him and recorded on their game sheet. Sometimes Wally was even in human form! 😆

The teachers and students of St Oliver’s shared their love of reading this morning for Book Week! The costumes were amazing, and students were very excited to parade in front of the crowd of parents. Thank you all for coming and joining in the fun!
